I am only gay for Marines (yes homo)

I am not gay and am jk BUT, 236 years ago today the Marine Corps was born in a bar in Tun Tavern, Philadelphia. It is a tradition for all Marines past and present to go out for a few brews in honor the Marine Corps. I had wings and beer at Hooters in Lake Forrest earlier today with two fellow former Marines, both Infantrymen as well. As I walked in I saw three Marines with their stupid haircuts trying to “not looks like Marines” LOL. I walked by them and said “happy birthday big boys” as I gave them a gay wave and a wink. They all looked at eachother with anger in their eyes :) . I had left but came back in to use the bathroom and one Marine was peeing and I stood next to him and did the same. He said “what’s up man, who were you with?” I looked over his shoulder and responded with “nice watch” He got tense and said “what the fuck” hahaha (Marine humor)! He laughed and I told him my old unit and found that they all were infantry guys as well and they had all just gotten back from Sangin, Afghanistan (a very rough area). He said he could tell I was a “grunt” (infantryman) and he told me the reason they got mad is because they could tell we used to be Marines but we had long hair and they wanted long hair and beards SO BAD lol. I ended up bullshitting with them and they looked out of their element because they had just gotten back. They had all finished their first combat deployment and they had asked me if it gets any easier over time…To be honest I didn’t know how to respond because I was in a bar celebrating the Marine Corps birthday yet I have been out for 3 years…

The Marine Corps is a big part of my life and no matter how much time passes, it makes me who I am today. I now truly understand the phrase “once a Marine, always a Marine” because it is like losing your virginity….you thought you were going to feel and think different after it is done but life is still pretty much the same. To my brothers I seved with reading this I love you (yes homo), I would still kill for any one of you if I had to. To the Marines from Tun Tavern to September 6th 2004, thank you for giving me something to look up to and for your service. To the Marines still serving especially the infantry guys, hats off to you ‘Merica needs MEN like you. To the Marines of the future…you haven’t made it yet turd so haze yourself and start pushing :P Happy Birthday Marines, 236 years of jerking off and fighting in every clime and place. KILL!!!
